Experiments in Science

The girls have been learning about the invention of Velcro. They learnt that burrs found in nature inspired the development of Velcro. Burrs use little hooks to attach themselves to passing animals, enabling their seeds to be dispersed around the environment. Velcro works similarly, but one side has hooks and the other has loops so they can stick firmly together. They needed to design and conduct an experiment that tested two brands of Velcro.
