Bollywood - What a Sensational Day!

I enjoyed the Bollywood dancing incursion because it was fun and the music was upbeat and happy. I learned a lot about Indian style dance. The saris were beautiful and it is amazing how Indian women wrap them around themselves. Emma was very nice and she is a great dancer. I really hope we can do more dancing activities throughout our learning.   Charlotte

I enjoyed the Bollywood Incursion because I enjoy dancing and found it interesting. Learning Indian dance moves was great. I liked watching how to wrap a sari and wearing a bindi.   Emma

I though learning a Bollywood dance routine was a lot of fun. I love dancing, especially in a group, which makes dancing more comfortable. I learnt a lot about saris and the dance actions and how they tell a story. This was an amazing Bollywood experience.   Angela

I thoroughly enjoyed the Bollywood incursion and the dancing that we did. It was fun to dance with my friends and have a good laugh. The costumes were exquisite and Emma and Andy were very engaging. I would love to perform this dance in the musical.   Breteil

The Bollywood Incursion was really enjoyable because although I don’t like dancing, it was fun to dance as a group. Emma and Andy’s instructions were clear and easy to understand, so we were able to learn a lot of dance moves in a short period of time.   Paeton

I found the Bollywood Incursion worthwhile and fun. I’m sure everyone found it entertaining, especially seeing Jasmine and Jessie wrapped in beautiful saris. I enjoyed all of the dancing and I liked how we danced to Jai Ho, a song from a Bollywood movie. The dance will work well in the Year 6 musical.   Georgina

I really enjoyed the Bollywood Incursion. The best part was when we learnt a dance routine. It was fun and cool because we learnt new dance moves. The dance went really well with the music.   Amy

The Incursion today was heaps of fun. I loved how we saw Jasmine and Jessie wrapped up in saris. When teaching us the dance, I thought Emma’s instructions were very clear. I am looking forward to using the routine in the musical. The dancing part of the incursion was so much fun and at the end I did not want to leave. I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything and would love to do the whole thing again.   Chanel

The Bollywood dancing was fun and active. I loved how we learnt a dance routine from Andy and Emma. We were given bindis and bracelets to wear. Seeing Jasmine and Jessie wrapped in saris was great.   Annabel

I really enjoyed being a part of the Bollywood Incursion because I loved learning about how Indian people wear a sari and how you wear them in different ways to show which part of India you are from. I also learnt what the bindi means when they are different colours – red when you are married and Black when you are not married. If a girl wears a black bindi, then a man may have a chance. I absolutely loved learning to dance to the music. I thought the music was very cool. My favourite part of the incursion was learning to dance and wearing a bindi. I thought the incursion was amazing.   Lauren

All of Year 6 enjoyed a marvellous introduction to Bollywood dancing. Emma and Andy taught us to dance to Jai Ho Bollywood style. During our performance I was lucky enough to wear a sari. I thoroughly enjoyed this incursion and imagine that everyone else did too. I can’t wait to see the moves we learnt in the Year 6 musical.   Jasmine

I thought the Incursion was a lot of fun. Besides the fantastic instructors, I actually learnt a lot, like how the hand gestures tell stories and that you always have to keep moving. This was definitely a great highlight of my year. The complimentary decorative bindi and the bracelet were the cherry on the top!   Rose
