Drama Toolbox

Today the girls participated in an incursion with The Drama Toolbox. During the S.O.S – Students Observing Sustainability workshop they had the opportunity to use drama techniques to create, explore and develop their ideas bases around sustainability. 

The drama workshop raised sustainability issues and focusses on local individual action that can be linked to positive global community impacts. The girls were from Pluto responding to an S.O.S from planet Earth to help Earthlings with four ecological hot spots:

•             The Great Barrier Reef: impact of pollution
•             Antarctica: over fishing
•             Sumatra: deforestation and poaching
•             Paraguay: landfill issues

The girls worked in small groups using dramatic techniques, costumes, puppets and props to role play these environmental issues that related to our HSIE topic.
