GirlPower

For those parents who were unable to attend the session, here is the GirlPower information
from the UrStrong website: https://www.urstrong.com/GirlPower/About/

The students found the sessions so beneficial and are feeling positive about enjoying successful
friendships in the future. GirlPower is a friendship program that inspires Tween girls to feel
empowered, develop a strong sense of self, and love themselves while learning to manage
the most important thing to them… their friendships.  The GirlPower workshops are designed
to give girls the tools to foster friendships that are transparent, supportive, and rooted in integrity.
Using practical, step-by-step instruction, girls learn how to comfortably put out
“Friendship Fires” (i.e. conflict) with kindness and respect.

The girls learnt GirlPower’s 4 Friendship Facts:
  1. No friendship/relationship is perfect,
  2. Every friendship is different,
  3. Trust and respect are the two most important qualities of a friendship, and
  4. Friendships change…and that's OK!
